Now, I have to admit that this is one of my very favorite rescues out there. Even tho it is young, in name only, it has been around for quite some time. Julie Allen runs this rescue for the problem dogs within the Malinois and Dutch Shepherd world. She evaluates, rehabilitates and re-homes the dogs in need. She finds them suitable foster homes and helps to train them in several venues like SAR – HRD and Detection. She often takes the dogs that are not that easy to place and works with them to find them good homes. She is a most worthy rescue and I am a big supporter of her work and efforts made to help out the breeds we all love so much. You can find her Facebook page by clicking on the picture below. Just like the Dutch Shepherd, the Belgian Malinois is rapidly becoming the dog to own, and to discard. Back yard breeding is the new game to play when owning a Belgian Malinois and the shelters are filled to overflowing with this amazing breed. American Belgian Malinois Rescue (AMBR) is a group that are specialized in the rescue of this breed and have already secured many a new home for the dogs. They have an online adoption / foster application to fill out. Please visit their page and fill out this application to ensure that there are enough homes available for the future rescues in need of assistance. Over the last few years the need for rescue of the Dutch Shepherd has risen explosively. This group has specialized in the rescue of the Dutch Shepherd and I wanted to share them with you. They are hard working people with a big heart for the breed that have rescued many a discarded dog in the past and have given it a new lease on life. They have an online Foster application that you can fill out to help them in their future need of foster homes and if you are looking to adopt.
